Then students complete exercises, either in small groups or solo. I use this design checklist to identify interactive exercises. I ask them to generate a list of keep, tweak, and delete.

We had an incredible team of women tech advisers from Silicon Valley, all experts, and who taught classes on how to use various tools such as Google, Canva, and Indiegogo, complete with detailed work books with exercises. You have to think of your interpreters as extensions of your facilitation techniques.

Once that group shifted to talking about project ideas and ways the museum could connect to this constituency, they were in a whole different mindset, and the suggestions they made reflected how we can meet community needs, not just market to a particular audience. It's available, but it's not the point of the whole exercise. There is no wrong answer to the question, "what do you imagine this thing might be in your wildest dreams?"
