YouTube’s first viral scandal took place in what we believed was a 16-year-old girl’s bedroom. In 2006, homeschooled teenager Bree Avery vlogged about her life under the username Lonelygirl15, chronicling her supposedly boring life.

Shortly before the Blogher July 2005 conference, I got a new digital camera that came with a video feature. At the conference, I attended a session on video blogging with Ryanne Hodson and was inspired to go play in a vlog sandbox. I was also curious to see whether there were nonprofits using vlogs to promote their causes.
I'm thinking about the use of video or vlog posts coupled with fundraising widgets as well as some other possible ways (ad revenue from web videos?) I did a campaign video. Coupling a video with group fundraising on the web has been evolving in the last two or three months. I don't know what I mean yet.
