Screen capture of video blog I was an early adopter of video blogging and screencasting. I really miss making videos and screencasts. Then when I heard that the WFP was using Camtasia Suite to edit, the video software I used for many years to create screencasts, I'm going to give Camtasia and FLIP HD video shots a try.

I almost spilled my latte all over my keyboard when I read in Britt Bravo's post over at Netsquared that I was nominated for a Vloggie along with Netsquared Vlog and Alive in Baghdad and Sustainable Route. I don't expect to win given the amazing instructional vlogs that in that category and that I have used to learn how to vlog.

One of the areas I wanted to dig deeper into was vlogging and screencasting. In fact, was able to carry on a brief vlog conversation with another participant from Holland! What I like about vlog posts is that it doesn't take very fancy or expensive equipment or software.

He gave an excellent over of the vlogging, web video, do-it-yourself versus hire a professional, and some references to equipment and software. editing a screencast, I was really relieved to he say "yes editing takes a lot of time." He made a distinction between vlogging and viral web videos.
