Mada: Qatar Assistive Technology Center Since the conference didn’t get formally going until noon on Sunday, I had the chance to squeeze in a morning visit to Qatar’s ICT Ministry.

Printemps opened a Doha, Qatar, in 2022, and this New York store continues this investment in foreign markets. She worked with the Printemps team to create various rooms, much like you would have in a home, where you would want to spend time. Part of this has involved expanding beyond France to other markets.

In 2011, we began collaborating with the Mada Center (Qatar Assistive Technology Center) to create accessible Arabic-language digital books. After intensive work by our Bookshare team, last June we released 100 titles in Arabic , making the Bookshare Arabic Collection the world’s largest collection of accessible Arabic ebooks!

Nigeria-based health tech startup Helium Health has acquired Meddy , a Qatar-headquartered and UAE-based doctor booking platform for an undisclosed amount. Meddy CEO Haris Aghadi and COO Abed Alkarim Khattab will join Helium’s leadership team as part of the deal. Helium Health’s acquisition of Meddy is a major expansion play.
