Two stabilized, telephoto cameras and a 108-megapixel main camera are a key part of the S22 Ultra’s strong set of photography features. Or a Samsung Pay cash back offer slides across my screen when I open Hulu.
It’s also a perfect example of how Samsung often whiffs on its first attempt at something but presses on anyway, eventually achieving the original vision it couldn’t the first time. This year, I’m hard pressed to find major faults with the Galaxy S21’s hardware. The Note 20 Ultra fixed the worst bugs but didn’t improve image quality.
And to round it all out, Roku throws in two customizable shortcut buttons that you can program to remember any voice command and repeat it with a press. There’s another new addition on the remote’s left side: Roku has included a sliding switch to enable or turn off the Voice Remote Pro’s always-listening mode. The new $29.99
In place of the PlayStation logo that rises slightly out of the DualSense, there’s a slightly more awkward to press button here. It might feel fine to some people, but I occasionally failed to press it, which isn’t a problem that I have with the DualSense. Photography by Cameron Faulkner / The Verge.

It’s nice to have a keyboard that won’t slide around your desk and feels like it could outlast time itself. But whatever they use on the space bar stabilizers gives them a surprising amount of resistance, and the key can sometimes be slow to return to its normal state after being pressed. This, combined with its slick back cover, means the Moto Edge is prone to randomly slide off tables and other surfaces, so you’ll want to protect it with a case. Well, it’s true that the Oppo Watch looks a little less derivative on my wrist than in press shots. Oppo’s watch straps are detachable in a similar way to the Apple Watch, with simple buttons for the release mechanism on the watch’s rear, but the straps pop directly in out rather than sliding from the side. How did that work out?
Given how every Android phone does something different on a long press of the power button, I hope this new system becomes an enforced standard. Emergency lockdown for temporarily disabling biometrics is there, too, but it’s sadly hidden under an extra button press. Photography by Dieter Bohn / The Verge.
