I concluded my review of the original Pro X wishing that it had an Intel chip inside. Microsoft is still using the same 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen display, with its great viewing angles, 3:2 aspect ratio, and trimmed down bezels. It’s hugely disappointing for a device that could be ideal for quick photo or video editing on the go.

A big part of that is the display: the 2020 Envy has an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio, compared to 79 percent on last year’s model. If you’re looking for an affordable Netflix machine, the Spin is a great candidate — especially given its movie-friendly 16:9 aspect ratio. Editing a batch of photos in Google Photos was also a slow and stuttery experience that I wouldn’t recommend. Oh, and it even has USI stylus support. My one disappointment was audio.
