proprietary, sessions for small orgs and sessions for large orgs. After that comes the hard part: figuring out what to put on the final agenda. It's a balancing act -- literally. We're always looking to balance sessions across tracks, open source v. Oh, and women vs. men presenters. We don't always succeed at that.
When you approach any of those activities, any of the work we do in this sector, with the idea that truly everyone has something to contribute, the way you speak, the way you interact, and the way you lead changes – and changes into something powerful and contagious. Where does km sit within in the org? km has dysfunctional relationship with IT. km people are not the IT people and the IT people are not part of the KM development process. km people need to have more confidence and either find budets or other people with budgets so that they aren’t dependent on IT dept.
Though many orgs flaunt their “lessons learned” they are not all written down, distributed, or accessible depending on the enterprise architecture. The workers on the front lines of the change are often the first to see signs of trouble yet, in most org structures, they have the least interaction with upper management.

How much are your event gift amounts compared to your org''s general gift? What events have been the most successful in raising money for your org? The endurance event stats are not suprising.
Some of the responses highlighted the need to understand what was currently working for the listserv conversations and what would be a valuable hook to move people to the forums, and especially who within the community (not the org) may be the most influential in a successful migration.
For example, ask applicants to "please reference X in the subject line" (fill in X with something related to the position or your organization) or use an auto-responder to ask applicants to answer a few questions or get a writing or code sample after they've submitted their resumes.
