Published today, M+R and NTEN’s 2014 Nonprofit Benchmarks Study returns for the eighth year. Even though response rates for nonprofit emails continued to slide in 2013, online giving was up as email and social media audiences and web traffic kept climbing. I shared results from the newest eNonprofit Benchmarks Study from NTEN and M+R Strategic Services. Below are my slides and a round-up of tips for getting started with a more engaged membership responding to your emails! Last week, I visited Omaha, Nebraska, and had a great time presenting to the PRSA Nebraska chapter.

I was able to rearrange an area for viewing presentations slides and have enough space for participants to move around for full group exercises.

During the NTC, ThePort Network, Inc , NTEN , and Common Knowledge released results of a survey that examines the use of social networking as a marketing and fundraising tool. The study provides a great baseline for nonprofits and social networking activity from here forward. There was also a webinar presentation of the results.

In true “Ignite” style, each presenter had five minutes to present 20 slides about their nonprofit programs, initiatives and the ways they’ve seen nonprofits from around the world use social media to make a difference.
