Here at NTEN, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that last week our colleague, Michael DeLong, passed away very suddenly. Michael was an active member of the NTEN community, NTC speaker, colleague, friend, and an all-around great person to know.

Recently we took a survey of the NTEN community to get your opinions about online platforms and how you like to engage online. Mostly I have lots of questions and concerns that the firms won’t be able to address until the merger is completed — if then. My main questions are about product strategies. Some independent consultants who implement Common Ground have questioned whether my clients even want to consider that product until the dust settles.

The State of Nonprofit Data report was released this week (hat tip to Ted Fickes ). Idealware and NTEN prepared the report based on a survey in April 2012 with nearly 400 nonprofit organizations about how they manage and use data. The report found that nonprofits are either doing a lot with their metrics or not much at all.
With NTEN''s website redesign project underway, we took a step back and asked, "How do we know how our users use our site and what they want if we don''t ask? So we turned to the NTEN community, as we will continue to do at various stages of the redesign process, for your candid feedback about the NTEN website.

Idealware who surveyed over 500 nonprofit staff members about their Facebook usage and goals may have answers to some of the questions organizations have been seeking. Dear #12NTC - The NTC concluded last night, and then began the fun (and I am not being sarcastic here) of answering the question, "How'd it go?"
