Small orgs work quickly, but often times that acceleration lacks direction. Leverage the SMALL ORG ADVANTAGE by looking for donated or discounted licenses. The State of Nonprofit Data report was released this week (hat tip to Ted Fickes ). Idealware and NTEN prepared the report based on a survey in April 2012 with nearly 400 nonprofit organizations about how they manage and use data. The report found that nonprofits are either doing a lot with their metrics or not much at all.

Connect emotionally to your supporters and they'll give! Make them see the issue in human terms and they'll give more! There's just one problem. and they're not working.

What’s interesting is that they did a size of org and recommendation analysis - to break down recommendations by size of organization. There is, of necessity, a lot of overlap betwen CRM systems and Donor Management Systems.

Not necessarily, according to the 2011 eNonprofit Benchmarks Study , just released at the 2011 NTC by M+R and NTEN. For every 1000 e-mail subscribers, orgs had 110 Facebook fans, 19 followers on Twitter, and 19 mobile users. A high unsubscribe rate is bad, right? The average nonprofit in the study sent 3.6

It turns out that nonprofits of all sizes are able to scale their fundraising efforts on social networks. The 2011 Nonprofit Social Network Benchmark Report found that 30% of Master Fundraisers – those that brought in more than $100,000 – were small organizations and a further 8% were medium-sized.
