This will be my 7th NTC since 2001 (or, more accurately, my 5th. I’m looking forward to the Unconference on Open Data organized by NetSquared, and getting to see lots of old colleagues. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be leaving on a jet plane, to Atlanta, Georgia, for the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference.

This year's NTC brought 1,430 nonprofit professionals to the OMNI Hotel in Atlanta GA. As many of you know, we raised $10,020 to send 61 people to the NTC on scholarship , which has (so far) resulted in 556 views of the NTEN Community Rhapsody. A big thanks to over 40 sponsors ! Where did that income go? per person and $26.46
We were excited to have our first 2012 NTC Community Call last Tuesday! New to the NTC There will be a couple of new additions to the NTC schedule next year. This morning, NetSquared hosted a special unconference at NTC on open data. It was a fascinating discussion that touched both on many of the reasons why nonprofits are taking a look at data sharing and on why consequential data sharing can sometimes be challenging or unfeasible for nonprofits.

I've kind of become an open-data geek in the past few months, largely thanks to NetSquared's unconference at NTC. The event was presented by Twilio and Open 311 , one of the organizations leading the charge to make government data public, accessible, and usable.
