On Thursday, April 9th at 8:00 am, we kicked off the tenth Annual Day of Service at NTEN's NTC which was a resounding success! Over 110 volunteers worked with almost 60 local Atlanta-based nonprofits sharing their wisdom and expertise on a variety of techie topics. There was a lot of energy in the room.
We were excited to have our first 2012 NTC Community Call last Tuesday! New to the NTC There will be a couple of new additions to the NTC schedule next year. The new structure will cut down on noise and allow for more interactive networking and socializing.

The big takeaway for me from the Creating a Culture of Storytelling session at NTC was that organizations can very easily do more to tell their stories, and this act alone could be the most important thing nonprofits do to gain donors, supporters, and relevance. If nothing else, a story should have heart; authenticity means everything.

The conference got started this morning, and I just got out of the Social Media Veterans affinity group, which was basically a crowd of about 100 social media-savvy folks chatting about how they effectively use Twitter, Facebook, and other social media tools at their organizations.
