Wednesday at the 2024 Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC), we’re pleased to be leading a session all about artificial intelligence (AI) for mission-driven social media. If you aren’t attending NTC, don’t worry! Of course, if you’re at NTC, join our session! How can I learn more and get started?
If things are moving around your screen in a really exciting way, chances are there is some serious CSS3 or JavaScript doing the heavy lifting and HTML5 has only served as the canvas on which those scripting gymnastics occur. Don't forget that word: "canvas." That's a big one in HTML5 that we'll discuss in the session in March.
I'm in the process of preparing material for the Screencasting Session at NTC (BTW, I'm presenting with Ian Miller from C3 who is sponsoring the NTC Video Contest last call). We've already summarized the view from the top in a quick, ignite-style presentation , available wherever fine NTC materials are found (and also on Slideshare). End users are shielded from major disruptions and IT staff are not required to make any changes to scripts or touch workstations. We'll try to do the same in this article.

I was delighted to see that some of my colleagues were excited to try some of these ideas in their trainings and Kivi Leroux Miller suggested that we do a session at NTC this year called "Online Trainings That Don't Suck," so watch out. Be prepared to improvise more and drop the script if it isn't working with the audience.
