Last year, NTEN created a scholarship fund program to help support many more people attend the Nonprofit Technology Conference. Donations were matched by Convio and with over $10,000 raised by the community, we had fun at the largest-attended NTC yet! And what’ll happen to the NTEN staff if we hit $10K?

Holly Ross welcomed everyone and thanked the event sponsors who made it possible for 50 NTC Scholarships. As it has become an annual tradition, she shared a video saga of how the NTEN team worked hard to help raise the money for the scholarships.
In that window of opportunity, I snagged an invite from NTEN’s Amy Sample Ward and have spent the last day playing around with it in between other projects. Those side connections are not technically part of NTC, but for me it’s an essential part of the conference. That’s what I want Google+ for.

. —– The first week of April was like an annual family reunion for the nonprofit technology community as the 2012 Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC) converged on San Francisco. But at this year’s NTC, the conversations about email were much less about its impending departure and more about exploring its evolution.

NTEN, the Nonprofit Technology Network, puts on a massive, be-there-or-be-square conference for nonprofit professionals every year (in 2009, we met in San Francisco). But, if you don’t want to wait until April to dive into the knowledge and expertise in the NTEN network, you don’t have to!
He and I have had terrific idea swaps and brainstorms and I can only imagine the conversations he will spark in person at NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference. NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference held each Spring is always THE place to be for nonprofit techies: whether you work in a nonprofit organization or with one, are totally technical or fell into your techie job, like social media or like wiring an office. In February we introduced you to NTEN''s Communities of Impact (CoI), a pilot program whose 19 participants are spending this year looking at ways nonprofits measure, learn from, and share their data.
