This will be my 7th NTC since 2001 (or, more accurately, my 5th. Tags: Nonprofit Tech 10ntc nptech nten. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be leaving on a jet plane, to Atlanta, Georgia, for the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference. I went to two Circuit Rider Roundups.). I’m looking forward to it.
Of course, we want everyone to get a piece of the #10NTC action, so we're back with an all new NTC Scholarship Campaign! We're going to raise another $10,000 (matched dollar for dollar by Convio) for the NTC scholarship campaign this year -- and send another 57 people down to Hot-lanta. . How will we top Putting a Ring on It ?
Last year, NTEN created a scholarship fund program to help support many more people attend the Nonprofit Technology Conference. Donations were matched by Convio and with over $10,000 raised by the community, we had fun at the largest-attended NTC yet! And what’ll happen to the NTEN staff if we hit $10K?
I gotta hand it to Holly Ross and the tireless NTEN team for putting on yet another fantastic event! While listening is critical at an event like NTC, it’s also a key function back in the offices of our nonprofits. Listening to our supporters can help in so many ways, and social media has made it extremely easy to so.

It’s been a few days since I returned from the Nonprofit Technology Conference (#12NTC) hosted by NTEN in San Francisco, CA. Here at NTEN, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that last week our colleague, Michael DeLong, passed away very suddenly. Michael was an active member of the NTEN community, NTC speaker, colleague, friend, and an all-around great person to know.

NTEN''s mission is to support all nonprofits in using technology effectively to better reach their missions. The 2013 NTEN Challenge included board members and community members all fundraising on behalf of NTEN, raising funds that would directly provide 2014 NTC scholarships, and access to year-round NTEN programs and membership benefits.

Something similar happened a few years back when NTEN scheduled NTC over Passover. Now I'm on the Board of NTEN and Holly and I joke about my being the "calendar police" since she almost scheduled a NTC over Passover again another year and I caught it in time.
