You don’t review the results of your emails. Repeatedly sending email to deactivated or nonexistent email accounts will get you marked as Spam, and your emails will eventually stop being delivered. This way, you won’t appear to be Spam, and nor will your constituents forget about you.

Avoid the spam filter. Even if you run a double opt-in for your list, your messages can get trapped by the increasingly sophisticated spam filters in place just about everywhere. It pays to know why your messages may be sent into the dank, squishy depths of the spam folder. Develop a good email template.

It's also a good idea to use a content management system to manage your website's content and updates, like Wordpress , Joomla , and Squarespace. Email is a critical channel. design: is it clean?
