We’re a small org, so even though it sounds insane, it actually works out nicely, and I think my being involved with every process, at least for the stage we are at right now, gives me a good sense of how to structure things as we grow. Will it someday play a useful role in engaging nonprofit members or donors in the work of the causes they support? While direct mail may be declining in some markets since its heyday in the 90s it is still an effective form of direct communication to raise funds and the NGO brand. Will social networking evolve? Ill be amazed if it is.
