The most successful campaigns are reactions to real world events or sparks that move quickly through established networks of human relationships. For example, you can choose to pledge 10 cents a tweet, or $0.25 You decide which nonprofit, how much you're willing to pledge per month, and HelpAttack! per Facebook update.
There was one interesting model was asking for pledges, and if the pledges got up to a certain amount, the content would be produced. The problem of how do you fund the actual writing of content was not really addressed, and I think that is one of the harder nuts to crack.

For the past 7 years, one of my gigs has been to organize the Day of Service for NTEN's NTC. I"m really excited - we have over 60 volunteers (last I checked) who will giving back to the local New Orleans nonprofit community - from strategic consults to installing a wireless network on site at the Community Center for St.
