I'm thinking about the use of video or vlog posts coupled with fundraising widgets as well as some other possible ways (ad revenue from web videos?) I read on Netsquared about how Creative Commons is trying to raise money with its video on Revver and am trying it out. I did a campaign video.
At the conference, I attended a session on video blogging with Ryanne Hodson and was inspired to go play in a vlog sandbox. I was also curious to see whether there were nonprofits using vlogs to promote their causes. Now almost a year later, there is renewed interest in vlogging and nonprofits. Here's a synthesis. The Issues.

I almost spilled my latte all over my keyboard when I read in Britt Bravo's post over at Netsquared that I was nominated for a Vloggie along with NetsquaredVlog and Alive in Baghdad and Sustainable Route. I don't expect to win given the amazing instructional vlogs that in that category and that I have used to learn how to vlog.
I wrote a blurb on Netsquared about the HumaniNet's Sim Day event. Luckily Seth Mazow from Interplast , who attended the event, not only posted a recap but also captured a few words on video from Gregg Swanson, Humaninet's ED. Keep an eye on their blog for more information.
I wrote about some of the other services over at Netsquared and my own blog here and my vlog sandbox ). YouTube is one of several video hosts that I'm experimenting posting my videos on these days so I can compare them at some point. (I I used one to create the badge above!

I was up too late editing a screencast to do a content analysis yesterday, instead I found a great thread on Nonprofits and Vlogging over at Social Edge facilitated by Patrick O'Heffernan. Netsquared Net Tuesday also had a session on vlogging and Britt Bravo posted some great notes. Off to consume those now!
This was done quite successfully at netsquared conference. I would add that I loved the way that netsquared did the video posts from the conference. Keep in mind, these vlog posts were done by veteran vloggers. VideoCasts/Skypecasts: I agree with Nancy's thoughts here.
