That’s social media for social good, and that’s exactly what NTEN and NetSquared want to highlight with Beth Kanter this spring at SXSWi. We’ll choose three to highlight in our session, and we’ll share all the stories we can on our sites and at We Are Media.
Edward Harran is a blogger and nonprofit technologist I have connected with through NetSquared, this blog, and of course Twitter. He and I have had terrific idea swaps and brainstorms and I can only imagine the conversations he will spark in person at NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference. When is the NTEN Conference?
In the age of the social network, new sites want to be “the hub” for information/engagement and the non-profit space is no different. We’ve seen the rise of a lot of destination sites; sites that allow you to expand your reach and exposure, but often times do so at the expense of your message and storytelling.
The site features videos and interviews with Randi Zuckerberg from Facebook, Social media expert Chris Brogan , Twitpic founder Noah Everett , Holly Ross from NTEN, and NetSquared's Amy Sample Ward. The new website launches today with close to 40 videos from across the nonprofit sector.
