Via Britt Bravo Do you have an idea for how a mashup could be a tool for social change? NetSquared, a project of TechSoup, is awarding a share of $100,000 in prize money, and a trip to the NetSquared Conference, to the top 20 winners of the NetSquaredMashup Challenge.
As some of you know, part of my work is being the Community Builder for NetSquared , a project of Tech Soup that facilitates the adoption of social web tools by nonprofits and NGOs. You don't need to have tech expertise to submit a project to the Challenge, just an idea for a change you want to make that could be facilitated by a mashup.
The last leg of the journey was to attend the Netsquared Conference (N2Y3) where three winners of the NetSquaredMashup Challenge were selected by conference participants. Erik shared his excitement in a post over at NetSquared. A Mashup Of 29+ Social Action Platforms ??? Also a NetSquared winner.).

I wanted to use today to focus in on a question recently posed by my good friend Joe Solomon on Twitter : What are the nonprofit/orgs that are working 2 wire the green movement, like what @ netsquared does 4 nonprofits, @ sunfoundation for politics; which orgs are working to expose data, leverage soc media, connect the orgs together?
Is your community focused on accomplishing a shared agenda? Since all actions are focused on a shared agenda, and will occur on the same day, their cumulative affect is well-positioned to have a much bigger impact in gaining attention and raising awareness. org Actions are a great example of coordinated events with a shared agenda.
The rise of mobile, social media, crowdsourcing, blogging, and citizen journalism in the mid-2000s created extraordinary new communication and information-sharing opportunities.
