Jana will share some techniques such as mind mapping and sketchnotes as well as share the different options for tools – both analog (paper and markers) and digital (ipad).
You may remember that they also created the much replicated and shared Conversation Prism - a map to help communications, service, marketing, and community professionals more effectively navigate the many social media tools. Better yet, I'd like to see a wikispace that included descriptions, links to tutorials, and tips.
I also set it so anyone could post a comment on the wikispace discussion threads, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of spontaneous discussion on the wikispaces feature except for the name change which had 54 responses. You have to register for wikispaces in order to add yourself. Small Group Collaboration.
I remembered that almost a year ago I was working on screencast about widgets for nonprofits to build community and had set up a wikispace called nonprofit widgets.
1) Bystander: Reads only (2) Gives Feedback: May add a comment to a blog post or add a link to a wiki page (3) Joins the community: Signs up for a swarm list (4) Joins the expertise map/advisory group: Fills out a profile and identifies a module (5) Participants in the collaborative writing.
