Last week I was got to work on a week-long service trip in Cusco, Peru as part of Wake: Women’s Alliance for Knowledge Exchange #Tech2empower program where womwn in who work in technology volunteer to share their professional skills and knowledge with women-run business owners. I’ve coached a massage therapist from Japan and a jewelry designer from Peru. I’ve been a guest presenter during their 16-week program where the women learn English and entrepreneurial skills.

That means building in more structure and more discipline, and for myself, it was a lot of letting go of doing everything and knowing how to do it, you know, figuring everything out and really bringing in people who bring that different set of skills. I ended up going into bodywork to have a skill that I could perform with my hands.

You have talent, you have raw materials, all the skills, but what you don't have is a product that's ready for a different market. So, in that case, they're overwhelming local markets with American product.
