For the past decade, Gener8tor has been working to shift that by spinning up accelerators in local communities that have money but are underserved in terms of startup support. We found a group of angel investors out of the Milwaukee area who share that same vision and passion. I think the same is playing out on the national scene.

I was reminded of this because of the American Bar Assocation's National Celebration of Pro Bono last week. many if not most local bar associations may have pro bono programs and/or referral services. There also great local referral services like Law Works in Philadelphia, which is a hub for pro bono legal services.

The two of us went to a local hospital during a cancer expo, and we basically, for lack of a better word, we hijacked the place. I've had to ask for a lot of help with this project, particularly once it was nationally recognized in the media. He's out of Milwaukee. I refer to her as Number 2 in the project.

This past summer, it operated 32 courts around the city and sold a minority stake to ex-Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry’s Avenue Sports Fund. Life Time, the national fitness chain, has also bet big on the sport and recently built courts alongside swimming pools, fitness studios, and other amenities in its New York City locations.

Turo is the app-based peer-to-peer car rental company that allows travelers to rent cars from local vehicle owners. For example, I live in Milwaukee, which hosted the Republican National Convention last summer. Some Milwaukee residents were able to get as much as $2,400 per night by renting out their homes to visitors.
