I've noticed this in the nptech stream, we have conversations scattered in listservs, forums, blogs, twitter, facebook, myspace, and other social media nooks and crannies. The other day, Chris Brogan left a comment about how conversations online were becoming more distributed and fragmented.
I'm thinking a lot lately about tagging communities (NpTech Tag), information coping skills, and distributed and disperse nature of networked/connected knowledge sharing. Out of habit, I started off doing the research in my usual ways - posts to listservs, search engine, private emails, and posts to forums. This made me think about searching through the resources in delicious tagged with Nptech + a variety of keywords including "conferences." I got about half dozen or so pretty useful leads.
