As I was loading up WordPress to write this blog, I was curious so I searched through my 1,982 posts to find I mentioned Salesforce in 133 of them (that’s it? However, Salesforce.com has a foundation where they give away licenses to qualified nonprofits! Joining the Foundation means saying goodbye to Salesforce MVP.

They expect to make up the difference in revenue that they got from licenses from services sold to a greater number of organizations that would not have been customers otherwise. I hope that they decide to go with an OSI approved license (they are currently using their own, which is a modification of the Apache license.

Eric has a license, so I tried it. Tags: Geek Posts Blogo Ecto MacOSX MarsEdit offline blog editor WordPress. If I want to edit the image’s size or alignment after I’ve placed it, I have to know the HTML to do it. Fine for me, not so much for my husband or colleagues. Ran screaming mad away from it. Pretty, but so buggy!

Registering a domain, purchasing hosting, installing an open source CMS like WordPress , and setting up a basic design theme can all be done affordably. Salesforce for Nonprofits is often looked to as a good choice because of their grant program that includes 10 free licenses. It's not obvious, but it's not rocket science either.

I might regret hosing the recovery media w/o getting them on CD later, but I hope not – I was in a purist mood – I would have had to have agreed to the license agreement for Vista and activated the product in order to burn the media, and I wasn’t about to do that.)
