First, it makes creating a national domestic copyright exception an obligation of countries that ratify the Treaty. It covers music in the form of sheet music, but not audio or videos of performances. It doesn’t cover movies. Bookshare will get more books published in other countries, in far more languages.

For the last several years, Symphony Nova Scotia has been changing children’s lives with music. Through its Education and Community Outreach programs, the Symphony helps bring music into the lives of over 14,000 school children each year - students who may not otherwise have access to a symphony.

The print book doesn’t work for people who are blind, partially sighted, dyslexic, have physical limitations, people who haven’t learned to read, or people who can’t read the particular language of a specific book is written in. Jimmy and I spent an hour trading music together. We can do better! I had never heard of it.
