taxonomies.??? Tagging at public sites can give you a sense that you're adding to a shared stream of knowledge. Hmm.how is a tag thesaurus different a taxonomy? In fact, by analyzing how various social groups use tags, we can do better at understanding how seemingly different worldviews map to one another. robotics???

Maybe it imparts knowledge, but people can’t transfer that to a real-life environment. Would that skill be easy to outsource?

By hard coded, I mean in the legal policies you've adopted, the features you've released and prioritized, your data taxonomies, your site map and information hierarchy. I do think that there are some discoverable values that are hard coded into any online platform. Platform values are most obvious in the TOS (see Facebook's history.)
