I just returned from the Nonprofit Technology Conference (#12NTC) hosted by NTEN in San Francisco, CA. Holly and the rest of the NTEN team (including all the volunteers) did an incredible job inspiring of over 1800 people for three days. The conference was amazing!

I have not been blogging because I've been at the NTEN NTC Conference , the premier event for nonprofit techies taking place in San Francisco. The NpTech Community has been early adopters of social media and socialnetworks like Twitter. Chad Norman did a fantastic job at summarizing and blogging the key points.
Untrained interns were fine two or three years ago, when the Social Web was still in its infancy and everyone was experimenting. The truth is, in terms of results in social media, you get what you pay for, and if you want the best person for the job, you need someone who has at least a year or two of professional experience in Web 1.0.

The ability to write e-newsletters, post to the website, manage social media, or speak on behalf of the organization in so many different digital ways will soon be everyone’s job. But publishing numbers isn’t enough.
