It also includes applications that you might develop (or have developed) that are hosted outside your network. You are dependent on your internet connection – which could be a problem for mission-critical applications. That’s really all it is – there isn’t anything fancy about it.
Using the internet isn't a new concept to my Grandmother, though it's not really something she finds very intuitive either. My Grandmother also has a whole network of friends who are at various stages of computer use/online adoption. That said, she understands the power of these tools, and relishes the opportunity to learn more.
I want to give huge props to Holly and all of the NTEN crew for putting on a fabulous conference. And, as a member of the NTEN board, I’m really proud of what’s been accomplished.
