Organization: Women for Women International. What was the very first social media tool your organization utilized, and when? The first socialnetworking tool the organization utilized was MySpace is 2007. Following that, Women for Women International moved on WordPress, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter throughout 2008-2010.
I’m teaching a graduate class at the Monterey Institute of International Studies based on my books, The Networked Nonprofit and Measuring the Networked Nonprofit. The course is about how to leverage networks and social media for learning and impact. In fact the range of issues is pretty wide ranging.
When I was in Minnesota, one of the questions I got was about blogging and socialnetworkingpolicies. Now, I swear I remember seeing something from Easter Seals or another nonprofit on a listserv that mentioned either socialnetworkingpolicy or blogging policy. How do organizations create policies?

There are some amazing nonprofits at the grassroots working miracles daily with relatively small amounts of cash, but unfortunately, since no international database of verified nonprofits exists, these nonprofits are consistently unable to utilize most online fundraising tools.
