I have previously written about the top issues addressed by the Treaty , but to recap, the Treaty is a wonderful instrument because it requires exceptions for people who are blind or have other print disabilities in national copyright laws. copyright exemption for serving the print disabled is commonly called the Chafee Amendment: Section 121 of copyright law. copyright law. These seems to be an important part of international copyright law. We need domestic copyright exemptions so that local communities can scan the books they need in their languages.
