Leading up to the Conference, we hosted a Webinar in February, "No Wrong Door" which introduced a large philanthropic audience to CommunityOS. At the conference, we hosted two Affinity Group discussions, "Data Exchange Specialists" and "Disaster Response Partners". NTEN is a great resource, check them out at www.nten.org.
For the past three years, I’ve been a fundraising champion for NTEN, the premier organization for nonprofit techies. I was a coordinator for the Annual Day of Service from 2002-2011, a day where nonprofit techies gave their time and skills back to the community where the conference was hosted. One of the case studies I shared was about NTEN’s recent social fundraiser to raise scholarship money for NTC conference attendance. On Thursday, April 9th at 8:00 am, we kicked off the tenth Annual Day of Service at NTEN's NTC which was a resounding success! Over 110 volunteers worked with almost 60 local Atlanta-based nonprofits sharing their wisdom and expertise on a variety of techie topics.
