Six months ago I came pretty close to complete social media burnout. I was running over 20 social networking profiles, logging in seven days a week, and at minimum pulling 60-hour work weeks. I am now down to 7 profiles, 5 days a week, and a 45-50 hour work week. Here’s a few tips on how to deal with it: 1.

Similar discussions surfaced last year during Iran’s Green Revolution, when many people on social media overlaid a green shade to their avatars and profile pictures to show their solidarity with the people of Iran. Yet due to old fashion organizing on the ground, the protests have escalated.

This morning Peggy Duvette and Angus Parker from WiserEarth spent some time at the Foundation sharing their experiences in building successful online communities of action and networks of networks on the WiserEarth online platform. When you set up an account, it is much like setting up a profile on a social network.
