There were many more, including February’s earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

The Giving USA 2023: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2022 is the most comprehensive report on philanthropy in America and the data within sheds light on the state of fundraising and ways nonprofits can overcome shortfalls in funding. Like a foundational grant, you’ll likely need to fill out an application to win a grant.
