This post is cross-published from NTEN. Read the post and join the conversation on the NTEN blog. It may seem like so much fun to round up friends and record a video about why you are all so passionate about a cause, then edit it with catchy backgound music and effects, and post it on YouTube. This is a big one.

My name is James; I’m the latest addition to the NTEN team as a Program Coordinator. I love the outdoors as much as I love my tech toys and have fun finding ways to integrate the two with cool gear; though, I admit not always successfully. I''m proud to join NTEN''s community and help nonprofits use technology to meet their goals.
My second guest blogger in this run of the Have Fun, Do Good guest post series is the warm and wonderful Jocelyn Harmon. Finally, she serves on the board of directors for NTEN (Nonprofit Technology Network). Finally, telling the truth or living an authentic life, keeps me having fun and doing good.

I mentioned before that Convio, the main sponsor of 09NTC ( the Nonprofit Technology Conference from NTEN ), is matching funds in NTEN’s scholarship appeal. Novices and experts, and everyone in between, all come together and learn from each other (and have fun!).
Dear #12NTC - The NTC concluded last night, and then began the fun (and I am not being sarcastic here) of answering the question, "How'd it go?" To be honest, for NTEN staff, the bar for this show was pretty low. This is the most fun I have had at the NTC!" More than NTEN will be able to address in the coming year.
A list of some of the people, things, and events that inspired me, or added fun to my week. Excited that Issue Two of the NTEN: Change (A Quarterly Journal for Nonprofit Leaders ) is out. Something similar happened a few years back when NTEN scheduled NTC over Passover. Now I'm on the Board of NTEN and Holly and I joke about my being the "calendar police" since she almost scheduled a NTC over Passover again another year and I caught it in time. It's how I met Holly Ross in the first place.
I recently updated the Have Fun, Do Good blogroll (in my sidebar) to show a greater range of some of the blogs I read. What blogs do you read regularly? Most of them are about nonprofits, volunteering and nonprofit technology, but I also like reading about food, creativity, and the musings of some of my personal pals.
Do you remember the first time you learned about the NTEN community and the services the Nonprofit Technology Network provides? Like me, I'm sure NTEN is very special to you, which is why I'm honored to share an opportunity to give back to NTEN – and give others a chance to discover our community. >
It's really important to NTEN that we're able to bring conference-goers the educational opportunities they want to see. This brought up the balancing act between the "fun" part of communications and the more difficult parts one can be forced to play at a small nonprofit. How do we balance it all?
