Headlines Against Humanity was a side project my team created in less than 24 hours. The point is, side projects can be both fun and somehow beneficial to a business – especially when you’re talking about a startup. The game basically asked visitors to guess which ridiculous headline were real, and which were fake.
In short, they’re no fun to read. Headlines and sub-headlines. . #2 – Letters that Tell a Great Story Raise More. Most non-profit fundraising letters read like college textbooks. They’re full of statistics, numbers, program details and platitudes. Which parts do donors read while skimming your letter? The first sentence.
Upworthy, a site that focuses on curating social cause related videos and content has been receiving a lot of media attention for changing how bloggers write headlines. But is this a signal that people are growing weary of the “and you won’t believe what happened next” headlines? What about Facebook?
It feels like there’s about a 100:1 ratio of negative-to-positive news headlines around Assassin’s Creed Shadows. All of that combined with Naoe’s fun arsenal of ninja moves and tools makes her an absolute joy to play. The best part of all of this is that a huge amount of missions revolve around assassinating people.
The game is fun. The bugs are fun ! The bugs that really , really weren’t fun have been patched. But publisher CD Projekt still has a broken reputation to fix and an investor lawsuit to fight , so I wouldn’t put too much stock in the headline you might have read today: that we’re all getting free DLC for the game in early 2021.
My second guest blogger in this run of the Have Fun, Do Good guest post series is the warm and wonderful Jocelyn Harmon. This is the headline of my Twitter account and accurately expresses what makes me happy and keeps me in “ flow.” Finally, telling the truth or living an authentic life, keeps me having fun and doing good.

Small visualizations of data or illustrations of ideas are effective visual micro content, especially when they are fun and easily digestible piece of content.
