I've seen this used frequently with "unconference" or "open space" technology-oriented conferences and workshops. Photo Streams: Conference or event organizers identify and promote a conference or event tag and encourage those with digital cameras to post their photos in flickr using that tag. or furl.

Twitter feed and Flickr pictures. And the " bar camp " format, or unconference or "open space" approach, really leads to meaningful topics and peer to peer discussions. It's ongoing today - Sunday - and you can follow it by viewing the (high volume!)

David Berlind captured in my flickr photos. And, since this is an unconference format, all we need to do is add ourselves to the agenda. I attended a session at podcamp called Gear Talk by David Berlind. He kindly posted some pointers to the details about the equipment he is using on his ZDnet blog. Damn, next year I will.
