I have become a complete devotee of Dokuwiki , which I use locally on my laptop, for my to do lists, notes, etc. I love it because it’s really easy to set up and back up (it’s all files, not in a database,) and it’s has draft autosaves (yay!). I doubt it, but it would be nice. {

Opening whatever you throw at it: say “open&# , find a file, and Excel will at least try to open it. OOo Calc will open your txt files in OOo Writer no matter what they contain. but it won’t talk to mailmerge files. of me, but what I really want is something powerful that just works locally.
