It’s a quiet laptop, and even under pressure, its fans weren’t loud enough for me to hear once. These are important things for any laptop to get right, let alone one that has a bunch of extra real estate that should be used to avoid flaws like these. Lastly, the large trackpad isn’t always good at palm rejection.

Choose your keyboard Not only is the Dell XPS 13 one of Dell’s best-known laptops, but it’s one of the best-known laptops, period. If you know anything about Windows laptops, you’ve probably heard its name. You can actually play a fair number of games on this laptop without needing to bump the resolution down.
