The first C, Content, refers to the idea that social media tools allow everyone to become a creator, by making the publishing and distribution of multimedia content both free and easy, even for amateurs. Conversations create buzz, which is how ideas tip, become viral. Wikis are a perfect example of co-creation.

I just finished a presentation and later this afternoon will facilitate a workshop on strategy which will include the Romanian version of the Social Media Game. Wiki: Collective brain of humanity. He told the story of the founding of wikipedia and the meaning of the Hawaiin word - quickly, quickly.

Such a place can also be a source of “user generated content”, relieving your internal staff from the burden of coming up with fresh content, and truly leveraging the ideas of your larger community. A wiki is a great low-cost solution if your community is comfortable with it technically. Now go forth and facilitate knowledge sharing!

Extension programs use wikis, flickr, blogs, tagging, and other tools to share information and content. Tagging helps found things stay found as well as facilitate the wisdom of the group.
