The session provided strategy theory and a simulation exercise based on creating a digital activism campaign for the Story of Electronics film (that now has Arabic sub-titles ). Mary’s remix simplified the tool selection to what was being taught during the TOT. She used the white board to draw the concepts in the slides.
Next week I'm doing a Webinar for Extension Professionals , a remix of 10 Steps to Association 2.0 which was a remix of Marnie Webb 's Ten Ways Nonprofits Can Change the World. My initial remix thought (wrong) was to look for examples that were related to agriculture, but the extension is so much more. Discovery Exercise.
It was a little challenging to remix a workshop that would be relevant to these different perspectives and age groups and have people leave the room having learned something. So, remixed my slide deck to represent the different points of view. Here's the full room exercises. (1)
We began the session by filing out of the conference room to the parking lot outside for an interactive exercise called " The Dance Floor and the Balcony." The instructions for the exercise are: Get in a circle. Repeat the exercise, this time with the goal of moving one person to the opposite side of the room.
We created a worksheet with more detailed questions adapted and remixed from CCTV's wiki. Amy Sample Ward contributed a workshop group exercise based on Forrester's POST method. The space was large enough so we could have small group tables, space for food, and space to do full group and small group moving around exercises. I do a lot of small group and share pair exercises.
