Greetings from Cusco, Peru! I am honored to be working with Wake International on their Tech2Empower Program in Cusco, Peru. It is great to have a day of fun before starting an intense week working on service projects. Tech2Empower Kanika Raney.
Our work started by focusing on long term empowermentprojects. Last year disaster relief once again became the main focus of our organization as we activated and served over 4 million meals in Peru, Houston, Puerto Rico, and California. It really showcases our efforts moving from beyond just relief to empowerment.
Empowerment for our participants comes from connecting to an inner wisdom that is often kept hidden from public view, but is a place of extraordinary innate strength and well being. We are also planning a trip to Peru! Connecting personal wisdom to effect positive change is our goal. We have come a long way!
They got so much confidence by being encouraged by each other, and by being published, that they started cyber cafes, they started solar power projects through women that they had met on the site, they got new job opportunities, and they got hired with other news bureaus. We think it's because of the mentorship.
