World Central Kitchen was founded by chef and activist José Andres in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. After the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, our founder José felt compelled by the news and flew down. Our work started by focusing on long term empowerment projects. We're currently active in 10 different countries.
