I was lucky enough to attend NTEN's Nonprofit Cloud Computing Summit on Monday, August 29. If you use Gmail, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Live Workspace, Salesforce, or Yahoo mail, you’re in the cloud. How can a nonprofit protect the data it holds in the cloud? The vast majority of nonprofits employ cloud computing in some way, but they may not know or think about it.
I looked over Allan Benamer’s post on the Convio and Kintera initiatives, I looked harder at the Convio Open and Kintera Connect docs, and I also had a chat with some Kintera folk. I have a few comments. Allan is right – the Kintera API is more comprehensive, and provides for more flexibility than the Convio API.
