Shortly after the Colorectal Cancer Coalition was incorporated as an organization in March 2005 we hired an admin, bought her a laptop and gave her a desk in a tiny single room office sublet from another organization in Washington, DC. With Screen Steps, I can easily edit the file to replace an image or rewrite a step. Didn't happen.

Use it not only to advertise your services, but also to share files with clients, point to resources, clarify your working style/methods/contract, etc. Even a word doc you update every time you’re on site for a client is better than notes scribbled on post-its. get your files organized: both electronically and paper.

Too bad it’s so hard to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files on them – or is it? All of them view office documents including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on various types of smartphones, but to varying degrees of effectiveness. You can view and edit Word and Excel files but just view PowerPoint files.

I also need to be able to work on the move: I need my "virtual desk" in front of me quickly, whether from my laptop or some other desk or smart device. Collaborative Files I couldn't get through my day without Dropbox , which I have blogged about before. Within a personal file space, you can define shared folders with others.

That means you can access any of your files anywhere, whether you’re on your work computer, phone, laptop or tablet—as long as you have your login info and an internet connection, you’re set. Pretty much every Google Drive platform (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar) allows you to work on documents simultaneously with your coworkers.

As smartphones mature, we’re doing more on them and less on our laptops. Microsoft with its Surface line of tablets that are a hybrid of laptops and tablets, is working hard to transform tablets from personal entertainment devices to business productivity machines. Tablet adoption is very brisk.
