As some of you know, part of my work is being the Community Builder for NetSquared , a project of Tech Soup that facilitates the adoption of social web tools by nonprofits and NGOs. You don't need to have tech expertise to submit a project to the Challenge, just an idea for a change you want to make that could be facilitated by a mashup.
We've discussed Ushahidi here before; the project won last year's NetSquaredMashup Challenge. In short, Ushahidi aggregates information from text messages and other media, presenting a clearer picture of a crisis situation as it emerges. read more.

Every month, the NetSquared community comes together offline at Net Tuesday events to mix, swap stories and ideas, build new relationships, and collaborate.
