We're pleased to announce a new member of the NTEN Team: Amy Sample Ward. We're thrilled to welcome her as our new Membership Director. Don't worry, Annaliese will continue her work with NTEN, as our Publications Director.) You may have heard of her. We anticipate great things.
We are excited to welcome longtime NTEN Member, Ash Shepherd, to the NTEN team. As the Education Director, Ash will be responsible for overseeing and designing programs for the NTEN Community to help them transform technology into social change. Ash has been a go-to resource for NTEN staff and members for years.
I''m excited to announce that the newest member of the NTEN team! Joleen Ong joins us as the Marketing and Publications Director (or, rather, "joined" two weeks ago already!). Prior to NTEN, she served as the Communications Manager at the human rights organization Social Accountability International in New York.
Last year, NTEN created a scholarship fund program to help support many more people attend the Nonprofit Technology Conference. There was even more value for the buck though: NTEN Executive Director put her pride on the line, saying that if the $10K mark was met, she’d perform Put a Ring on It …and boy, did she !

Here at NTEN, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that last week our colleague, Michael DeLong, passed away very suddenly. Michael was an active member of the NTEN community, NTC speaker, colleague, friend, and an all-around great person to know. He was our social media manager. We mourn him and remember him well.

Change is at the heart of what we do at NTEN. It’s with twinges of sadness and excitement that I share with you a personal change: that I will be leaving NTEN after 4 and half years. I have been deeply honored to work with each and every person in the NTEN community, whether directly or indirectly through the programs we deliver.
