I'm an instructor for the Connected Futures Workshop which is about communities of practice and web2.0 Sus Nyrop, colleague from Denmark, mentioned a new tool called Crowdstatus. This tool might be a great introduction to Twitter as quick information sharing tool for a small community of practice and people who are new to Twitter.

Other institutions are idiosyncratic in their relationship to their environment, like the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, or to their community, like the Wing Luke Asian Museum. Trying to cover it up or smooth it out in favor of "best practices" does a disservice to the museum and the audience.

It is the second most visited museum in Denmark. More than 20 staff member working at the offices tried this new practice last December. At Den Gamle By we have set ourselves a goal to broaden the perspective of those in responsibility and to ensure the management will take our audience seriously.
