The definition of "old people" is pretty broad and seems to be used to describe both the 35-54 age segment and over age 55 segment, particularly with studies that examine the increase of "older users" on social network sites. The Mashable blog raised the question, "Why don't they tweet?". It was from April, 2008!

It has trained more than 470 students seventh grade and up in 13 libraries throughout Silicon Valley. It was recently recognized by the City of San Jose for raising awareness of computer science among teens. Students bring their own laptops to a public library, and receive instruction from high school-aged instructors.

Sometimes, this even included an army of college students going door-to-door, ICU nurses convincing hospital staff to join, businessmen calling meetings to let their employees know about the contest, and other offline work. It was definitely a full time job during the last 2 weeks of the contest. How did they do it? Oh the hours!!
